I've had an earworm lately.
There's a line from an old song that says, "you got to have dream, if you don't have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true?"
So the obvious question is: What's your dream?
It is so important to have goals and dreams. When you take the time to figure out what it is you want, they have a way of coming true.
When my son was in the seventh grade he came home from school the first day and told me what his math teacher had said to the students.
"As of right now, you all have 100% in my class. Where your mark goes from here is up to you."
My son told me that his new goal was to keep his mark at 100%.
I almost told him to be realistic. I almost said, "you might not be able to get 100% on your report card, but remember, whatever mark you get, I know you'll have tried your best and I'll be proud of you."
But, I didn't say that to him. I bit my tongue as a thought went through my brain. Who am I to tell him he couldn't get 100%?
Instead of telling him what he couldn't do, I said, "You know what honey? If anyone can get 100% on their report card, it's you."
And just like that, he had a dream. A goal. A direction.
And you know what? He got that 100% in math.
He did it three report cards in a row.
The most important part of making a dream or a goal come true, is to take the time to think of a goal or dream. When you do, life surprises you. ♥
Without further ado, I introduce you to my earworm.
